Botel Ltd

It is with regret that Botel Limited ceased to trade on 5 January 2009.

Despite best efforts, a sale of the order book was not possible, and customers are advised to make contact with hotels direct to re-confirm bookings, or contact one of Botel's competitors to arrange for them to re-book the tour.

Grant Thornton UK LLP have been requested to place the company into liquidation, and a meeting of creditors will be held at the Novotel Hotel, 4 Whitehall Quay, Leeds, LS1 4HR at 12.15 am on 6 February. The location of this meeting has been chosen for creditors' convenience, as we are conscious of the large geographical spread of Botel's creditors, and this hotel it is near to Leeds Bradford Airport, Leeds train station and the A1 and M1 Motorways.

Notices formally convening the meeting should be sent out shortly. At the meeting a brief history of the company and statement of affairs will be presented. There is no requirement to attend this meeting, as the Liquidators will circulate this information after 6 February, when they will formally invite creditors to claim in the liquidation. If you wish to attend the meeting as a creditor, please send a statement of your claim to the proposed liquidators, Keith Hinds and Joseph McLean. Alternatively, you may wish to nominate a proxy to attend the meeting on your behalf, or nominate the Chairman to represent you at the meeting. For the avoidance of doubt, failure to do anything in response to the notice will not prejudice creditors' right to claim in the liquidation, once the company is formally placed into liquidation on 6 February.

Should you wish to send details of your claim in the meantime, please send a copy statement to the case manager:
